Journey toward wholeness.
I find great meaning in entering into the tender and vulnerable parts of peoples’ stories. Together, we will explore where you have been, where you are headed, and what is holding you back from living life to the fullest. Our time will be a journey that includes processing the challenging parts of your experience, equips you with tools, and brings healing to help you find a healthier way forward. I employ a warm, empathic, conversational, and relational approach to counseling. I hope you will find me to be safe, genuine, and down to earth as we explore your story.
About Lindsay
I draw upon a variety of relational and evidence-based techniques in therapy, including but not limited to attachment theory, emotion focused therapy, internal family systems theory, and narrative therapy. I believe our earliest relationships have a deep impact on the way we see the world and how we relate to others throughout life. Therefore, it is important to look at these relationships and how they shaped us for our present experiences.
My approach
More about me
In addition to my clinical training, I bring varied life and work experience to the counseling process. I have experience in social work, reproductive healthcare, and university settings. I have also served alongside my husband in pastoral ministry to college students, young adults, and the local church for twenty years. We have walked with many individuals and couples through grief, loss, broken relationships, trauma, ministry pain, health diagnoses, premarital counseling, marital distress, as well as other challenges and suffering.
I have a special interest in working with women of all ages—teen years and beyond; mothers throughout the perinatal period who are experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, or healing from loss; college students and young adults who are working through identity and relationship issues, or planning for the future; couples preparing for marriage; and anyone who is ready to take on the deeper work of healing from trauma.
Outside of my work, I love being a mom, spending time with my family, cheering my daughters on in their endeavors, connecting deeply with others, and outdoor adventures.
I look forward to connecting with you. You were created with purpose and are worthy of compassion and care. I would consider it a privilege to explore the harder parts of your story and would love to offer an environment where you can begin to heal. If you would like to begin this process, please send me a message here to set up a free phone consultation.
